Tie a sliding knot with thread

To your pliers, to your primers...
Another technique to know: sliding knots.
Necessary material :
You need to
- a thread (30 cm minimum for an adult) made of cotton, leather, etc.
- fine flat pliers without teeth
- a lighter

For this tutorial, I can use a small charm or pendant with a ring .

Step 2: I thread the wire through one of the rings and fold it in half.

Step 3: I pass the top thread, below the second thread

Step 4: Take this thread that is passed underneath. Moving to the left, pass it above and below the first thread (the longest), twice in a row.

Step 5 : When finished, take your thin, toothless flat pliers and pass them through the curls you just made. Take the end of the wire in your pliers and pull it through the loops.
Tip: the end of your thread which has become short must pass through the loops you have just made.

Step 6 & 7: Pull the short thread that is passed through the loops. Your first sliding knot is done.
Step 8: Do the same thing on the other side (steps 2 to 7)

Step 9: Your bracelet is almost finished. Take the cutting pliers which are well sharpened so that your wire does not snag and become frayed. Cut both ends, 1 mm after the knot. With the lighter, burn the ends a little.
Tip: if you are on leather, take a little clear varnish and put it on the ends. Let dry for 15 minutes.
